About Jennifer Rose

Picture
My path to this work has been shaped by a longstanding desire to understand what helps human beings change, grow, and become more fully themselves.

I came to homeopathy through a profound and unexpected experience that seemed to bridge body and psyche, setting me on a path of inquiry that continues to unfold today. What began as an interest in a natural approach to health gradually revealed itself as something far deeper: a way of understanding healing that recognizes the person as an interconnected whole, while attending closely to what is unique in each individual.

I went on to complete the four-year professional program at the Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy and became a Certified Classical Homeopath (CCH). I have been in private practice since 2014, working with adults and children with a wide range of concerns.

Over time, my curiosity about the individual, the inner life, and the unconscious led me more deeply into the study and practice of psychotherapy. I earned my Master of Social Work from St. Catherine University and am a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) in Minnesota.

My approach to psychotherapy is rooted primarily in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic traditions with their attention to the unconscious, early relationships, and the patterns that shape how we experience ourselves and others. My clinical formation includes training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy through the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (MPSI), along with many years of engagement with Jungian and depth psychology.

This has included long-term Jungian analysis, participation in the Minnesota Seminar in Jungian Studies, and ongoing involvement with the Minnesota Jung Association, where I serve on the Board of Directors. I continue to study psychoanalytic thought broadly, including both classical and contemporary traditions.

Although psychotherapy and classical homeopathy are distinct disciplines, I am drawn to each for some of the same underlying reasons: both ask us to pay close attention to the particular person rather than only to a symptom or diagnosis. Both have deepened my appreciation for complexity, careful listening, and the ways meaningful change can unfold over time. In my work, each retains its own framework and method, and clients may come to me for either without any expectation that the two be combined.

Across both practices, what matters most is meeting the person before me with curiosity, respect, and presence, in service of fuller self-expression and a greater capacity to participate in life.

Outside of my work, I am a mother of two redheads and am happiest wandering old paths and hiking unfamiliar landscapes. I love the smell of campfire smoke in my hair and strive to enjoy French press coffee and used books in moderation.
